Dr. Elaine Davidson is a cofounder of Ridgeview Family Health, and her goal for it is a simple one: get away from the corporate medical clinic environment and go back to the roots of what you want from your family practice office. A small, intimate clinic where you and your family are known and cared for by a health care team that you trust.

She is a board-certified family medicine physician and a longtime local physician. A graduate of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, she completed her residency at the Family Practice Residency of Idaho in Boise, and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Following residency, she worked for a migrant and community health clinic in Nyssa, Oregon, before joining Saltzer Health in 1995. From 2002 to 2005 she worked for another community health clinic in Spokane, Washington, then moved back to Idaho and rejoined Saltzer.

A native of Virginia, she quickly fell in love with Idaho and the outdoors way of life here, then met her husband here, and so here she stayed. The Davidsons have three children and five grandchildren.

Her personal interests include singing, playing piano, cooking, baking, hiking, traveling, golfing (just a beginner), and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
