Dr. Erik Richardson has practiced family medicine from Air Force base clinics to the South Meridian clinic, where he now provides care for children and adults.

He graduated from Brigham Young University and later earned his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he completed his residency at the Eglin Family Medicine Residency Clinic at Eglin AFB in Florida, then spent four years as the Medical Director of the Kirtland AFB Family Practice Clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Providing medical care to our brave men and women in uniform was deeply rewarding, and he is particularly proud to have served our troops while deployed to Iraq.

He moved to the Treasure Valley in 2011. His practice is general family medicine for children and adults, and what he loves most is the diversity of it and the long-term relationships he builds with his patients. He specializes in adult medicine problems and diagnostics, but still loves pediatric and adolescent medicine. He is fluent in Spanish.

His special passion is educating patients to achieve the best health possible. That conviction runs deep enough that he shares it beyond the exam room, teaching patients and the world through his YouTube Channel, “FamilyMed with Dr. Richardson.”

Dr. Richardson loves spending time with his family. He and his wife have five children, which leaves little free time. What there is goes to being outdoors, traveling, photography, video editing, fishing, and shooting sports.
